Michigan Builds Recruiting Momentum With Multiple Top-100 Targets After Victors Weekend
Four-star prospects at linebacker, cornerback, edge rusher, and safety are all trending toward the Wolverines following official visits.
Michigan football is tracking toward a significant surge in its 2026 recruiting class as multiple Top-100 prospects show positive momentum toward the Wolverines following Victors Weekend official visits, according to reports published Sunday.
Four-star linebacker Frederrick Ford is among the prospects closing in on a decision, having set a commitment date following his official visit to Ann Arbor. Michigan is reported to be checking all of the necessary boxes for Ford as he nears his announcement.
Four-star cornerback Monsanna Torbert of Ohio is another Top-100 target trending toward Michigan after a recent visit. Reports indicate Michigan is gaining momentum in his recruitment, with a prediction logged in the Wolverines' favor.
Edge Rusher, Safety Also in Play
Michigan is also predicted to land four-star edge rusher Major Stokes, a top prospect out of Orem, Utah. Stokes is among the pass-rush targets Michigan has been pursuing as it works to round out its class. Additionally, Rivals300 safety Marcus Jones visited Ann Arbor on June 19 and came away impressed, with reports indicating he can envision himself playing for the Wolverines.
Not every courtship is going Michigan's way. Three-star linebacker Cain Brackney, who has been committed to UCLA since April, visited both Michigan and Indiana after pledging to the Bruins. While Brackney discussed his Michigan official visit at length, a prediction has been logged in favor of Indiana for the Bixby, Oklahoma standout, suggesting the Wolverines may miss out on a flip in that case.
Nationally, the final official visit weekend of the summer produced significant movement across the sport, with Notre Dame and Oregon pushing toward top-five classes while Ohio State and Michigan are each inching closer to additional commitments. Michigan's activity with Ford, Torbert, Stokes, and Jones positions the program to add several high-profile names to its 2026 class in the coming weeks.
