Florida State has secured a commitment from four-star safety Ta'Shawn Poole, the Seminoles' top target in the 2027 recruiting cycle. Poole, a standout at Howard High School in Macon, Ga., chose Florida State over finalists Georgia and Tennessee.

Poole is ranked No. 75 in the Rivals Industry Ranking, making him a top-100 prospect and one of the more coveted defensive backs in the Peach State. His commitment represents a significant win for head coach Mike Norvell, who had to withstand a heavy push from the in-state Georgia Bulldogs before securing the pledge.
