Robinson earns All-ACC Preseason honors as FSU opens fall camp with O-line questions
Florida State launched 2026 preseason practice with wide receiver Duce Robinson drawing conference recognition and the offensive line depth chart drawing scrutiny.
Florida State opened fall camp and received a piece of good news simultaneously Wednesday when the ACC named wide receiver Duce Robinson to its Preseason All-Conference team. Robinson also collected 12 votes for Preseason Player of the Year, an award that went to Miami quarterback Darian Mensah.
The recognition follows a breakout 2025 season in which Robinson caught 56 passes for 1,081 yards and six touchdowns, becoming Florida State's first 1,000-yard receiver since 2019 and just the 14th player in program history to reach that milestone. He was a first-team All-ACC selection and a Biletnikoff Award semifinalist after the campaign.
Robinson ranked ninth nationally in receiving yards following the regular season and led all Power Four receivers with five 120-yard games — the most at Florida State since 2014. He averaged 19.30 yards per reception, second in the ACC behind only teammate Micahi Danzy. Over eight conference games, Robinson averaged 102.8 receiving yards, best in the ACC by a margin of 12 yards over the next-closest receiver. He also led the league with 17 catches of 20 or more yards, 12 of 30 or more, and six of 40 or more during the regular season.
Off the field, the Phoenix native added an academic distinction, becoming Florida State's first first-team Academic All-American since 2012 and only the ninth in program history.
Offensive Line in Focus
While Robinson's preseason accolades provided a positive backdrop, the state of the offensive line drew attention as camp got underway. Questions remain about the projected starting lineup and depth along the front five, areas the Seminoles are working to clarify as practice ramps up under head coach Mike Norvell.
Norvell, Robinson's teammate Micahi Danzy, and Ashlynd Barker were among those who addressed media on the first day of fall practice, setting the tone for a camp that will look to resolve competition at several positions before the season begins.
