The 2027 recruiting cycle is taking shape in earnest, and this weekend offered a reminder that the traditional order is not guaranteed. 
Indiana secured the nation's top wide receiver prospect — a commitment the program could not have reasonably expected even two or three years ago — while 
Ohio State and 
Georgia each added quality pieces to classes already pushing 19 commitments. The board is filling up fast.
What makes today's activity notable is less the volume than the range of programs involved. A Hoosiers program landing a five-star over Alabama and Texas signals something real about where mid-tier powers now stand in the recruiting landscape. Meanwhile, Georgia and Ohio State continue doing what they do, reinforcing depth at premium positions without much drama.
